Welcome to the Arrow Athletics Girls Gymnastics program!
At Arrow Athletics, our mission is to build strong, confident, and courageous young women—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Our Girls Gymnastics program is designed to celebrate each girl’s God-given potential through movement, discipline, and joyful learning.
Girls Gymnastics offers a safe, encouraging, and uplifting space for girls to explore gymnastics, grow friendships, and develop character. Through progressive levels, athletes learn the fundamentals of artistic gymnastics while also growing in perseverance, confidence, and grace.

Whether your daughter is stepping onto the mat for the first time or advancing into higher levels, Girls Gymnastics is here to help her shine.
Level 1 - Beginner
USAG Equivalent: Level 1
This is the perfect starting point for young gymnasts entering the sport. Level 1 introduces fundamental strength, shapes, balance, and movement basics. Through fun drills and positive encouragement, athletes learn confidence, body awareness, and the building blocks for future skills.
Focus Areas:
- Basic body shapes (tuck, pike, straddle)
- Forward/backward rolls
- Cartwheels & handstand basics
- Beginning bar hangs, pullovers, and casts
- Beam walks, balances, and small jumps
Level 2 - Beginner Advanced
USAG Equivalent: Level 2
Level 2 builds strength, confidence, and control while introducing more refined technique. Athletes start performing skills with better consistency and learn to connect movements more smoothly.
Focus Areas:
- Stronger handstands and bridges
- Round-off introduction
- Kick-overs and shaping drills
- Casts
- Improved balance and jumps on beam
Level 3 - Intermediate
USAG Equivalent: Level 3
This level is where gymnasts begin to look polished. They develop power, grace, and confidence across all four events. Athletes at this level take big leaps in discipline, strength, and performance quality.
Focus Areas:
- Casts to horizontal
- Tap swings with correct shapes
- Handstands on beam
- Back handsprings (spotted/independent)
- Consistent leaps & jumps with height
Level 4 – Intermediate Advanced
USAG Equivalent: Level 4
Level 4 challenges athletes with more dynamic skills and powerful body control. This is where athletes begin mastering combinations and preparing for advanced tumbling and bar skills.
Focus Areas:
- Front handspring vault progressions
- Introduction to flyaway drills
- Beam cartwheel, full turn, split leap 135°
- Round-off back handspring (solid)
- Strong shaping and conditioning expectations
Level 5 - Advanced
USAG Equivalent: Level 5
This is the highest level of the Arrow Angels recreational pathway. Level 5 is designed for athletes who demonstrate excellent technique, strength, flexibility, and understanding of all four events. Skills are more complex, and routines require power, precision, and artistry.
Focus Areas:
- Front handspring vault or prep for vault table
- Kip drills & advanced bar shaping
- Connecting beam acro skills
- Back tucks (drills or spotted)
- Front tumbling combinations
- Leadership, discipline, and higher expectations
